Mat Pilates Teacher Training

100 Hour Certification Course

What distinguishes a truly valuable certification is not simply the exercises or the instructor, but the depth of knowledge that informs the movement—knowledge that enables everyone to experience the full benefits of Pilates.

This certification offers hands-on training and teaches Pilates the way it was meant to be taught. Participants will gain a strong foundational understanding from which they can confidently grow and evolve as teachers.

We will explore not only the classical Pilates repertoire, but also the anatomical intention behind each movement, proper biomechanics, and the interconnected nature of the body. This approach empowers instructors to adapt exercises to meet the needs of diverse bodies and physical challenges.

Who is Dr. Leah Gallimore?

I came to acupuncture over 20 years ago as a professional dancer when a back injury sent me into a downward spiral of constant pain. I spent several years trying different forms of therapy, with only limited success that would alleviate my pain for a few days. A friend of mine, who was also a dancer suggested that I try acupuncture and I decided that I would give it a try since I had tried everything else. I walked into the treatment unable to move my upper back and arms and I walked out with full range of motion. I could not believe the feeling I had. For the first time in two years I had pain free full range of motion. My acupuncturist recommended Pilates to strength my alignment and stabilize my back. It was the combination of both acupuncture and Pilates that allowed me to function in the world again. Over the years I have been fortune enough to be exposed to so many forms of healing. All of which have played a role in my recovery. It is with the knowledge and experiences that I am able to approach each person with a great deal of compassion and dedication.

I look forward to assisting my patients on their journey towards living healthier and fuller lives.

Thanks,

Leah
